Popular Service Expands Into New York and New Jersey

Videos From Gwen Stefani, U2, Outkast, Christina Aguilera, Toby Keith Available On Demand Starting in January

New York, NY, January 10, 2005 – Just eight months after its launch, AOL® Music On Demand is now the most popular free video-on-demand service on Time Warner Cable, America Online, the world’s leading interactive services company, announced today. In addition, AOL announced that the renamed service is expanding into the New York and New Jersey market, and detailed the new music offerings available starting in January.

In just over six months, video plays on AOL Music on Demand increased by nearly 850%.

“The popularity of AOL Music On Demand is a testament to the power of the combination of great programming – both today’s most popular music videos and AOL’s original content – and giving consumers control of their media experience,” said Kevin Conroy, Executive Vice President, America Online, Inc.

“We are thrilled with the response to AOL Music On Demand,” said Lynne Costantini, SVP, programming, Time Warner Cable. “Video-on-demand is taking off with consumers, and we expect usage to continue to grow.”

AOL Music On Demand offers anytime access to the best of AOL® Music’s original programming, including AOL Music Sessions – intimate, in-studio performances from today's top artists – and the AOL Music LIVE! weekly concert series, as well as today's most popular music videos.

New Markets
AOL also announced today that AOL Music On Demand added New York and New Jersey to the list of markets where the service is available. That brings the total number of markets to 30.

Nearly four million Time Warner Digital Cable subscribers across the country now have commercial-free access to AOL Music On Demand at no additional charge through Time Warner Cable’s “DTV On Demand" service.

New Videos
Regularly updated programming for AOL Music On Demand features a broad selection of hundreds of music videos from major labels including Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group as well as original music content including AOL Music Sessions performances and the AOL Music LIVE! series.

New Name
The service, originally called "My Music Channel," has been renamed "AOL Music On Demand" to better reflect a new strategy to make AOL branded experiences available to a broader audience of non members. AOL Music On Demand services enable consumers to access AOL Music's comprehensive library of music videos across a variety of devices – from televisions, connected home entertainment devices and traditional PCs.

AOL will begin to roll out the new name in existing Time Warner Cable markets across the country this month followed by regional advertising and marketing campaigns with the new branding in February. In addition to a broad selection of music videos and performances, Time Warner Cable customers accessing AOL Music On Demand will be able to learn more about the AOL service.
